Welcome,
My name is Andrea Cohen and I have had a passion and dedication to food for over twenty years. My journey began while reading the book "Diet For a Small Planet". It was then I became aware that food was so much greater than just calories, taste, or even family tradition. Since opening my eyes to the social, political, and economic significance of food production and distribution, I have felt compelled to make vast changes in my life that continue to resonate deep into my personal and professional life today.

My food journey included many years of perplexing digestion troubles that went mostly untreated. After visiting with
many doctors, I began to suspect a correlation between stress and chronic stomach upset. I started trying out
alternative therapies and found that a regular yoga practice was very helpful. I also explored different breathing
techniques and exercises that not only helped in the moment, but slowly healed my body from the inside.
Being mindful of these distinctions while focusing great care in the overall quality of diet, I came to fully believe in the
power of mind-body nutrition. When I enrolled in the Food Psychology coaching certification taught by Marc David, I
was blown away to find information, ideas, strategies, and exercises that I had found instinctively on my own path of
nuturing and wellness.
Before becoming a food coach, I worked for over 16 years in the field of social work, primarily with adults living with
chronic mental illness. The gift of this demanding work has been a deep and empathetic understanding of human
behavior and the priceless skill of true listening. I now combine an M.Ed. in Humane Education with my certification in
Food Psychology Coaching to be an optimistic, soulful, and intuitive coach with an authentic confidence in radiant
health and profound transformation.
